Photography has been my way to find beauty. In this fast paced world that is not always so bright, I search for moments of light. This form of art gives me the gift of sight, to look at life through a lens to find and create beauty. The definition is so versatile that no matter what my subject may be, there is always some form to be found. Milestones in life like getting engaged, getting married, having a baby, or celebrating your family are naturally beautiful. To see and capture the relationships and the excitement around these huge times is so powerful and uplifting. I enjoy meeting new people and producing a smile and a memory of love and happiness. I strive to capture the authenticity these moments offer. That feeling I get after an amazing shoot waiting for the files to be uploaded, see them on screen for the first time and to know my client will love them as much as I do, it’s what I live for.
When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was always to be a photographer. I still remember my first white plastic film camera I got for my 10th birthday. I truly fell in love with it while taking a photography class at my alma mater, Butler University. After that, I knew it was something I couldn’t live without. I moved back home to Cincinnati after graduation and attended a local bridal show to find a studio that would be willing to take me on. I found a studio and worked for three years building up equipment and experience. I branched out on my own four years ago and am loving every minute of it!
